God’s Promises

The Maker of all things has promised many precious things to us in His word.

Thousand of promises have been given to different people throughout the ages. Any promise given to someone else is also a promise for you because the Lord who controls all things is impartial, and infinite love.

“Now all these things happened to them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” 1 Corinthians 10:11

"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature."2 Peter 1:4

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life". John 3:16

“He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that does not believe the Son will not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

God's Love

“I have loved you with an everlasting love, say the Lord.” Jeremiah 31:3

God's is not like man. Everything about Him is perfect and infinite and eternal. He loves each one with a love that is perfect and infinte and eternal. When we fail, he still loves us the same as He loves Jesus.

"...that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them as you have loved me." John 17:23

Because Jesus took all of God's wrath for all of the sins of mankind in his body on the cross, there is no more wrath against those who believe in Him. Only perfect, loving discipline from our loving Father if needed.

"His love is everlasting." Psalm 100:5

                                God Promises Protection

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him."  Psalm 28:7

"You are my hiding place and my shield: I trust in your word." Psalm 119:114

"For I, says the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zechariah 2:5

"For the Lord is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our king._" Psalm 89:18

"The angel of the LORD camps around them that fear him, and delivers them." Psalm 37:4

“The Lord will preserve you from all evil: he will preserve your soul. 8 The Lord will preserve your going out and your coming in from this time on, and even for evermore.” Psalm 121:7, 8

"As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from now and even forever." Psalm 125:2

God Helps

When Abraham's nephew had been kidnapped, with God's help, he followed, attacked, and recovered all. Genesis 14

When Ziklag, David's town, had been burned and his wives and children stolen, he pursued with God's help and recovered all (1 Samuel 30).

"God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in time of trouble." Psalm 46:1

"Our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1

" The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him and I am helped." Psalm 34:7

"He will help and right early." Ps 46:5

"For, I, the Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear not, I will help you." Isaiah 41:13

                                              Forgiveness

"Therefore is the kingdom of heaven like a certain king, who would take account of his servants.24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.25 But since he had nothing to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt." Matthew 18: 23

  • God is wondrous and holy and has given us ‘life and breath and all things.’ Acts 17:27
  • We own Him all and have little to pay.

But He is love

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

  • Every animal sacrifice since the Garden of Eden was a picture of that, saying to us, This is how much I love you: Enough to die for you.

"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."1 Peter 2:24

  • Since Jesus was more than just a perfect man, He is the eternal Son of the Almighty God, through whom God made the worlds, His death on the cross was an infinite and eternal overpayment.
  • No man or no sin is bigger than what Jesus did.

"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases. Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles." Psalm103:1-5

God Promises Guidance

God guides all the stars with infinite precision. Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? Job 38:32

When Abraham sent his servant to get a bride for Isaac, he said, The Lord, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way; and you will take a wife for my son of my relatives, and of my father's house (Genesis 24:40)

When the servant arrived in the city in Mesopotamia that Abraham had come from, he prayed: Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:  let it happen, that the damsel to whom I say, Let down your pitcher, please, that I may drink; and she says, Drink, and I will give your camels drink also: let the same one be she that you have appointed for your servant Isaac; and by this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master. (It happened immediately)

Not only did God guide him to the city, but to the exact spot where Rebekah was at that moment coming to get water from the well (Genesis 24:13, 14, 27)

The same thing happened to Jacob when he ran from his brother Esau, God guided him to the exact spot at the exact moment that Rachel was coming with her fathers flock.

“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.” Psalm 25:9

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye on you.” Psalm 32:8

We are all following someone, even if it is our own heart and thoughts. Following God’s guidance leads to great blessing and happiness and prosperity in life. “Blessed is the man…” Psalm 1

“For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. “Psalm 48:14

God's word has promises for every situation and circumstance. He has fully provided for anything and everything that we may ever need in this life. His word is so powerful that to create the universe and this world all He had to do was speak. These promises are that powerful word for that circumstance to us. All He asks is that we believe because He has all the power in heaven and earth  Matthew 28:18.
